ဆရာဦခင္ေမာင္လတ္ေရးတဲ့ Everyday Expressions in English ဆိုတဲ့စာ ၁၁ ၾကိမ္ေျမာက္ ျပန္လည္ထုတ္ေ၀ရတဲ့ စာအုပ္ျဖစ္ျပီး ေတာ္ေတာ္ေကာင္းပါတယ္။ မူရင္းက အဂၤလိပ္လိုပဲေရးျပီး အဂၤလိပ္လိုပဲ ရွင္းထားတာပါ။ ေနာက္ပိုင္းထုတ္ေတြမွာ ျမန္မာျပန္ထည့္ေပးေပမယ့္ မၾကိဳက္တဲ့သူေတြရွိပါတယ္။ ဒီစာအုပ္ကို ဆိပ္ကမ္းသာလမ္းမွာ အဂၤလိပ္စာသင္တန္းဖြင့္ထားတဲ့ ဆရာဦးထြန္းစိန္က သင္ရိုးထားကာ ႏွစ္နဲ႔ခ်ီျပီး Class တစ္ခုအျဖစ္သင္ပါတယ္။ က်ေနာ္ သူ႔ဆီမွာ ဒီစာအုပ္ကို သင္ယူဖူးပါတယ္။ `ဒီစာအုပ္ဖတ္တာ စာအုပ္ ၁၀ အုပ္၊ ၁၅ အုပ္ဖတ္တာနဲ႔ ညီ္မွ်တယ္´လို႔ ဆရာၾကီးဦးခင္ေမာင္လတ္က ေျပာခဲ့ေၾကာင္း ဆရာဦးထြန္းစိန္ထံမွတဆင့္ မွတ္သားဖူးပါတယ္။

Unit အစဥ္လိုက္မဟုတ္ပဲ ေရာက္မိေရာက္ရာ Unit ကေန က်ေနာ္ေရးသြားပါမယ္။ ေန႔စဥ္သံုး အေျပာကို ေရးမွာမို႔လို႔ စကားေျပာဟန္နဲ႔ ေရးသြားပါမယ္။ အေရးဟန္ကိုလည္း အလ်ဥ္းသင့္သလို ေဆြးေႏြးပါမယ္။

ပထမဆံုး စေျပာရရင္ေတာ့ ၁၁ ၾကိမ္ေျမာက္ထုတ္ စာအုပ္မ်က္ႏွာဖံုးက အလြဲပါ။ Everyday အစား Every Day လို႔ မွားေရးထားပါတယ္။

-စာေမးပြဲေအာင္ရံုတင္မဟုတ္ဘူး၊ စာေၾကေအာင္လုပ္ရမယ္။

-You must have have read much.
-You must have read many book.

2. to be well-timed - အခ်ိန္ကိုက္။

-The action taken by the government is very well-timed.
-အစိုးရကအေရးယူေဆာင္ရြက္တာ အခ်ိန္ကိုက္ပဲ။

-It is opportune.
-It is done at a very suitable moment.

3. to be well-tried - ပြဲေတြ႔နည္း။ ေသခ်ာေသာနည္း။

-This is an old well-tried method.
-ဒီနည္းကပြဲေတြ႔နည္း။

-This method has often been tried with a good result.

4. to be well-worn - ဖန္တရာေတေနေသာ။ ဆီသည္မလက္သုတ္။ ဓာတ္ျပားေဟာင္း။

-I never use a well-worn phrase.
-ဖန္တရာေတေနတဲ့စကားလံုးေတြ မသံုးဘူး။

-I don’t like common-place words and phrases.
-They have been used too often by people.

5. a white lie - မုသားမပါလကၤာမေခ်ာ။ ရႊီးသည္။ အဆင္ေျပသလိုၾကည့္ေျပာသည္။

-You have to tell a whit lie sometimes in order to be polite.
-ယဥ္ေက်းသမႈျဖစ္ေအာင္ တစ္ခါတေလ ရႊီးတန္တာရႊီးရမယ္။

-It is a small, harmless lie.

6. on the whole – (စကား)ဒါေပမယ့္ ေျပာရရင္ေတာ့။ (စာ)သို႔ေသာ္လည္း တကယ္တမ္းတြင္။

-He may drink sometimes, but he is a good man on the whole.
-တခါတေလ အေသာက္အစားေလးေတာ့ရွိတယ္။ ဒါေပမယ့္ေျပာရရင္ေတာ့ လူေကာင္းပါ။

-Taking everything into consideration, he is a good man.

**`ျခံဳေျပာရရင္ေတာ့´လို႔ အနက္ေပးလည္းရပါတယ္။ က်ေနာ္က ျမန္မာလို ေတြးေျပာတာပါ။

7. as a whole - ျဖန္းျပီးၾကည့္။ ျခံဳၾကည့္။ တစ္ခုလံုးအေနႏွင့္။

-We must consider these matters as a whole.
-ဒီကိစၥေတြကို ျဖန္းျပီးၾကည့္ရမယ္။

-We must think of these things all together, not separately.

8. a wild goose chase - တံလွ်ပ္ေရထင္ ေရႊသမင္အလိုက္မွား။

-A wild goose chase is a fruitless search.
-တံလွ်ပ္ေရထင္ျပီး လိုက္ေနရင္ေတာ့ အခ်ိန္ကုန္၊ အခ်ည္းႏီွးပဲ။

-It is a search for something that can be found.
